Hands

In the summer we hardly ever have trouble with keeping our hands warm. We will carry two or three pairs of liner gloves, one heavy pair, and then shells. One pair of liners will always stay in our packs to use on chilly mornings. We do not wear gloves while we are climbing or scrambling. A lot of the climbers do; we do not even understand why they wear the gloves. Maybe we will ask someone this summer and find out why. Then, maybe we will buy a pair.

Packing Comments

Lightweight Capilene Gloves
2 pair - Just to take the chill off the morning air especially when using trekking poles. The second pair is just in case the first pair decides to run away.

North Face Windproof Fleece Gloves
A good all around glove. They are warm and windproof.
Waterproof Breathable Shells
These can be worn over liners or just as a shield to keep the rain off.

Post-Trip Comments

Early in the trip we did not have warm enough handwear, later in the trip we did not use any!
